Recently we became Ambassadors for NIRVC, National Indoor RV Centers. Our first contact with NIRVC was in Stone Mountain, Georgia, while attending a Thor Rally. Issue #26 of our blog tells you all about our trip to Stone Mountain. A little about NIRVC; it's a privately held company that opened in 2009 in Lewisville, TX. After receiving an invitation from NIRVC to attend the Oceans Eighteen Gala - AIM Rally in Las Vegas, we found we could easily fit it into our travel schedule heading to the West coast. NIRVC is a major sponsor for the AIM Club. AIM, All Inclusive Motorhome Club is a small motorhome club formed a year ago and it's current membership is close to a thousand. It continues to grow quickly, as they are always accepting new members. It is easy to qualify to be a member, just be the proud owner of any Class A, B, or C Motorhome. As I stated earlier, the rally was held in Las Vegas at the Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort. We've never stayed there before, but found it to be very nice, with good size sites and lots of amenities. They have a nice little cafe on the grounds that serves breakfast and lunch. Except for a couple of evening dinners our meals were provided at the resort. Most of the rigs arrived on Monday, October 15th, 2018. We got in a day early and stayed a couple of days after the rally ended.

Day One
Day one of the rally, as with most rallies, is fairly easy. After getting into your assigned site and setting up, then you have registration check-in.

Five o-clock, the rally kicked off with social time & dinner for a couple of hours. It's a great time to meet new friends, and renew old friendships.

After a wonderful dinner, entertainment was Casino Night. I'm not so big on gambling, but since we didn't use real money I enjoyed the fun and think I may have learned a little about gambling. However, I didn't enjoy it enough to try it with my own money on the strip. Rather than gambling, David and I have always invested wisely.

At the end of casino play, we used our winnings, (their play money), to bid on prizes.

Day Two

I've attached our schedule for the events of the rally, just in case I forget to comment on something. Sometimes I'm more concentrated on photos and forget to actually list what the scheduled events were.
Day two started off with a great breakfast buffet from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. We have found most rally breakfasts are scheduled for either 8:00 or 8:30 am. It was nice not having to be up so early. We are retired, after all.
The rest of our morning was filled with seminars, always providing very useful RV information.
Another nice thing we found with this rally was the scheduled "FREE TIME." Lots of time to explore Las Vegas.

That evening we all gathered at a German restaurant, Hofbrauhaus, for great food and lots of new friends.

The group was not too large, so it was easy to get to meet several couples each day.

Day Three

Wednesday, our third day, was especially nice because NIRVC gave us a tour of their new facility based in Las Vegas. In addition to the tour, they provided a lunch and cake. This is going to be a wonderful facility where you will be able to purchase a new RV, service your current RV, or store your RV in a climate controlled environment.

Day Four
Our final day of the rally, Thursday, started with breakfast, followed by the AIM Club Corporate meeting. AIM is now one full year as a club, with a quickly growing membership.
For those needing a few dance lessons for the evening's dinner and dance, Arthur Murray Dance Lessons were available after the corporate meeting.

Dinner and dancing on the last rally evening was at Silverton Casino Hotel Veil Pavilion with entertainment by Lucky Devils Band.

On the Road
Friday, It's a Continental Breakfast and Farewells until next time.

We saw our new friends off, but stayed on a couple more days. So we headed over to Black Bear Diner for a nice breakfast. CAUTION, when ordering from the menu, the portions are very large ... you won't go away hungry!

Not Done Yet - More to do in Las Vegas

While in Las Vegas, you have to see a show or two. We were able to get tickets for Reba, Brooks and Dunn Show.
The show was at Caesars Palace and we arrived early. Lots of time to walk around and explore (and people watch).
